Mayor Jay Moran has been the mayor of Manchester since 2014 and previously served more than two years as Deputy Mayor. He was first elected to the Board of Directors in 2009 and prior to that served two years on the Board of Education.  He is advocate for all citizens and believes in Manchester.

Jay has worked as a college athletic administrator for almost 30 years. He is currently Athletic Director athletic at Southern CT State University. He previously held the AD position at the University of Bridgeport and Alberta’s Magnus College. He was also the assistant athletic director and cross country coach at Saint Joseph College. He was also the coordinator of intramurals and recreation at UConn.

He has been married to lifelong Manchester resident, Patty Gronda Moran for 30 years and they are the proud parents of Kristen, Elizabeth, Jamie and Julia Moran.
